Squidoo

http://www.squidoo.com

Squidoo is a website designed to make it easy for anyone, for free, to set up a single page on a topic he or she knows or cares a lot about.

Squidoo is a network of user-generated lenses - single pages that highlight one person's point of view, recommendations, or expertise.

Lenses can be about anything.
Users who create lenses are called lensmasters.

Lenses aren't primarily intended to hold content; more emphasis is placed on recommending and then pointing to content on the web.

A single lens could point to Flickr photos, Google maps, blogs, eBay auctions, YouTube videos, and other links. Lensmasters are encouraged to promote personal agendas, expertise, causes, products, and opinions.

So signup for Squidoo and create your own Lens :)

How to implement Squidoo:
(1) Add your webpages to the lens.
(2) Find pagerank 7 or 8 lenses and leave comments on them
(3) And that's more links to your site from top pagerank sites :)

I just added this Squidoo Lens about the Teachers featured in the Secret

It took about 20 minutes to create + 10 minutes to upload the photos to flickr.

Digg

http://www.digg.com

Digg is a place for people to discover and share content from anywhere on the web.

When you "digg" something, your submission will immediately appear in “Upcoming Stories,” where other members can find it and, if they like it, Digg it.

Once a submission has earned a critical mass of Diggs, it becomes “popular” and jumps to the homepage in its category. If it becomes one of the most popular, it qualifies as a “Top 10”. If a submission doesn't receive enough Diggs within a certain time period, it eventually falls out of the “Upcoming” section.

The domain digg.com attracts at least 236 million visitors annually. Need I say more? :)

So signup for Digg: http://www.digg.com
Add the tools to your browser so you can easily "digg" things you find on the web. Each week, "digg" your best blog post, site, or article. Digg other people's sites and share your thoughts and comments.

Things you "digg" will also show up in your Facebook profile,if you installed the apps that I suggested. Go back to Day 8 if you skipped this step. The more exposure you get, the more
successful you will be :)

How to implement Digg:
(1) Write in your blog
(2) Digg It
(3) Ping it (Pingoat.com or Pingomatic.com)
(4) Voila, Googled within 6 hours - yep!

Adding Digg to your Blog

For the self-hosted Wordpress blogs:

If you installed the Add Sig plugin (see Day 3 - Blog), then login to your Wordpress..

Settings > DDAddSig

And copy and paste this code into the top of your signature box:

<script src="http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

And that will add a "Digg This!" to the bottom of every post :)

For those that use Blogger and the 3rd party hosted blogs:

If you don't have your own self-hosted Wordpress, see this page on Digg for more options on adding Digg to your blog/website:

StumbleUpon

http://www.stumbleupon.com/

StumbleUpon uses thumbsup/thumbsdown ratings to form collaborative opinions on website quality. When you stumble, you will only see pages which friends and like-minded stumblers
have recommended. This helps you discover great content you probably wouldn't find using a search engine.

Signup to Stumble: http://www.stumbleupon.com/sign_up.php
Add your browser plugins so you can "stumble" as you go.

Stumble-Upon your sites/best blog posts/videos/photos once a week. As per above, anything you StumbleUpon will also be sent to your Facebook profile & Feeder.

Setup your StumbleUpon profile.

Del.Icio.US

Watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avCV945h5vI

Del.icio.us (pronounced "delicious") is a social bookmarking web service for storing, sharing, and discovering web bookmarks. The site was founded by Joshua Schachter in late 2003 and acquired
by Yahoo! in 2005. It has more than three million users and 100 million bookmarked URLs.

Adding your site and blog posts to Del.Icio.Us does create more pagerank, although is a little less effective than it used to be now that everyone knows it ;)
