By default, you start off as a "YouTuber" when you joined YouTube, even if you have been uploading Videos.

To change your channel type to a "Director" instead of a "YouTuber", from your Channel Info page, click on "change channel type" and you can select "Director" as the type of account you'd like. That's it, then you can access the rest of the features for the Director profile.

Why become a Director instead of a YouTuber?

1) You get more promotion, people can search by director, if your videos become popular, you'll also be featured on the directors pages.

2) You'll be able to create or choose your own customized logo.

3) You can add your URL to all your videos.
