Want more Followers? Twitter Directories and Groups

6 December, 2008 - 15:58

While “Guru’s” and Popular Bloggers get followers without even trying.. the “Rest of us”.. need to get a little more pro-active if we want more followers, and that means getting involved, joining Twitter directories, and following people who have the same interests as us.

The best way to get found is to put your twitter link everywhere.. your email signatures, your blogs, import your twitter feed into facebook, add a myspace widget, join twitter groups on linked in and facebook, and setup your profile in all the Twitter directories, Wiki’s, and all your existing social networking sites.

This list of Twitter Directories is just a “Start”. I didn’t realize that creating a list would take 8 hours of my life so far lol and I really should be spending that kind of time on the sites that actually make me money despite this being so much fun :) The reason it takes so long is logging into each site and .. you know.. using them :)

I’d love to see twitter’s stats to find out exactly how people found me, that would give us the best indication of which of the following “works best”. But in the meantime, the more people you follow, the more who will follow you, is the general rule for the “rest of us”.

If you follow people with the same interests as you, in your “niches”, then they are less likely to “unfollow” you. I would never unfollow someone that is tweeting about things that are of interest to me :)  I’m not interested in law or motor vehicles.. I love wordpress and social networking and internet marketing kinda stuff.. but if you’re “thing” is finding cat lovers or work-at-home mums or real estate, etc.. the best way for you to get more followers is to find people with the same interests as you and follow them. Most will follow you back, and even if they don’t.. the “downside” is that you’ll keep up-to-date on all the latest things related to things that matter to you. Sweet deal!

It’s not just about numbers is it.. I mean, it might seem like that if your follower count is low… but if your followers are your “target” market, or are interested in the same things that you are, then you will find you make stronger friendships,  JV partners, networking partners, and potential buyers who, having followed you and realizing that you’re not a scam artist and are passionate about your topic, are more likely to happily accept your recommendation for that product in your niche, or visit (& digg-stumble-friendfeed-bookmark) your blog relating to that topic.

I’ll create a page for this soon and put any updated new ones in there so we can keep an updated list somewhere obvious! hehe..  if I’ve missed anything, please lemme know..

The Big Twitter Directories
  • Twellow
(you are probably already there - just have to “claim” your profile and pick your categories.. and update a bit about yourself)
  • Just Tweet It
(find categories that you are interested in, and add your blurb and twitter url to each)

More Twitter Directories
  • Twitter Link Up
(Find and Follow people in your niche - a ning site)
  • Twitter Business Directory
(launching in January - add your business to the directory now)
  • Twitterectory
(A directory of Twitter users, their interests and their website/blog links)
  • Twitter Passion
(Find a category, add your name, link & description)
  • My Tweeple
(Syncs with your Twitter - you can find who you aren’t following a lot easier than on the main twitter site and follow them from there)

Groups & Group Keyword Tracking
  • TweetWorks
(my fave - join Twitter groups of your interest and have on-going conversations on or off the “public timeline”. It’s like a “forum” in 140 characters or less :)
  • Twitter Groups
(here you can join various groups that you are interested in conversing about and find more tweeters with your interest, the site also tracks conversations using the groupname)
  • Hashtags
(#keywords - you can tag your “tweet” to allow others to track that particular keyword)
  • Twemes
(#keywords.. exactly like Hashtags, cept prettier!)
  • TweetParty
(message “groups” of friends.. you can create as many groups as you would like (ie. work, friends, family, travelbuddies, etc) out of your existing friends, then through twitter you can send a direct message to any party by using #group (it “dm’s” tweetparty and @tweetparty will deliver the tweet)

Twitter Wiki’s you can add your link to
  • TwitterPacks
(Allows you to add yourself to a “pack” of Twitter Uses based by interest or location, so that people who want to follow, can go to their topic of interest and follow everyone in the niche that they are interested in)
  • Twitter Fan Wiki
(mostly a wiki for twitter-related sites, there may be a category that you can put your link on)

Twitter Search Engines

(or Twitter Directories you can search but can’t “modify/update” with your own personal information)

  • Official Twitter Search
(awesome & essential, you can even subscribe to keywords via RSS and find new followers that way)
  • TwitterTroll
(real-time search of twitters public timeline)
  • Twitterholic
(automatically shows the rank of everyone on Twitter as far as friends/followers/updates - BarakObama is #1)
  • Tweetscan.com
(find people to follow based on keyword, bio or username all at once)
  • TwitDir
(indexes the public timeline, allows you to search everything at once, and shows Top 100 Followed, Updaters, Favouriters, Followers)
  • Twubble
(automatically searches your friends and their friends and picks out a list of people you might like to follow)

Specialised Directories

Profiles you should update with your TwitterLink

Update your Profiles on all of these social networking sites with your Twitterlink.
More often than not, I put my Twitter url before my website url.

How to find Twitter people to follow using Google

Kevin Davis also put a video on YouTube to show how to use Google’s Advanced Search to find Twitter users in various niches

Obviously this isn’t a full list, I just couldn’t justify spending anymore time on this post.. please forgive me and add your recommended site either by posting it to me via Twitter or via the comment box below.

11 Firefox addons for Twitter

1 December, 2008 - 21:00
Yoono - Socialize your browser

Bring all your friends into your browser with Yoono and follow what they’re doing on Facebook, MySpace, Flickr, Twitter, iMeem and Friendfeed. Gather all your MSN, Gtalk, Yahoo and AIM chats into one place. Share your shopping discoveries on Facebook, Twitter and StumbleUpon.

In a single browser sidebar, Yoono users can interact with the best of the Web more than ever before by discovering, communicating, and sharing with friends across multiple networks and platforms all in one place. Users can stop wasting time checking for updates and visiting multiple networks and instead can start enjoying!

With Yoono, users can:

Connect
• Gather all of your social networks in one place including Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Flickr, FriendFeed, Youtube, and more.
• Bring together all of your chat networks including AIM, GTalk, MSN, and Yahoo
• Universally update you profile status.
• Search and prioritize friends and their updates.
• Instant message and chat with friends in any network.

Share
• Drag and drop photos and videos from any site including YouTube and share live with friends.
• Upload pictures to Flickr via Yoono.
• Create and save a file around photos and videos and share with friends or post to a blog.

TwitterFox

This extension adds twitter to your Firefox Browser window.

It adds a tiny icon on the status bar that notifies you when your friends tweet and has a small text field that allows you to update your status (& has a handy little character counter).

Power Twitter

Power Twitter adds features to the Twitter Web interface to include:

  • Photo sharing with embedded flickr photos
  • Video sharing with embedded youtube videos
  • Shared tinyurls are unwound so you know where they link to
  • All links are mapped to their web page titles
  • Additional user information is mapped to twitter users thanks to data conduits via 30 Boxes (e.g. flickr accounts, blog posts, del.icio.us links, and tons of other social media!)
StockTwits

StockTwits is a website that allows you to search real time discussions from the web’s savviest investors.

If you are a StockTwits user or invest in Stocks, you might want to add this addon to your arsenal. StockTwits turns StockTwits tagged tickers on twitter.com into links back to stocktwits.com so you can easily catch up with the latest conversations. (lol, now that was a tongue-twister)..

Twitzer - Twitter More

Want to share that recipe you are making, or the “full instructions” for something you are talking about on Twitter? This extension is your answer..

Twitzer is a Firefox extension which lets you post text longer than 140 characters on Twitter.com. It can also convert TinyURL.com links to actual links so that you are sure what link will open.

Once installed, when you log on to the Twitter site, you would type normally (ignore the character count when it goes into minus and turns red).

Once finished with the update, right click anywhere on the page and click “Twitzer text”.

The entire text is shortened to <140 characters and the link to the entire text is placed in the update box.

ShortText is a service that allows you to post anything (recipes, long posts, instructions, etc, without needing a blog.. and this addon works in conjunction with that service so that you can share more on Twitter).

QuickPaste (TinyPaste)

Similar to Twitzer (above), in that it allows you to have an unlimited amount of text, but it works a bit differently than Twitzer in that.. if you find something on the web that you want to post.. you simply highlight it, right-click to select it, and then choose “TinyPaste Selected Text”.

TinyPaste then automatically presents you with a link to share your text with other users.

TwitterBar

TwitterBar allows you to post to Twitter from Firefox’s address bar.

It also has an icon that will send a tweet with the URL of the webpage you are currently viewing.

TwitBin

Creates a sidebar on your firefox browser to allow you to communicate with twitter.com.

Send and receive twitter messages from anywhere on the web.

TwitKit

Another Twitter sidebar addon is TwitKit.

TwitKit has a 6-section interface, using tabs to separate content. You can view the Twitter public timeline, your user timeline, a list of your friends and their latest tweets, a list of your followers and their latest tweets, @replies made to you, and stats about your account.

Many different color schemes and settings are available for configuration, to suit any preference of appearance.

TwittyTunes

Allows to post your currently playing songs to Twitter with a click.

It will also post the websites you’re visiting, and videos you’re watching.

You “choose” what it posts, it doesn’t do it automatically (how annoying would that be?)

To submit what you are currently “playing”, the addon requires FoxyTunes.

And one more that is sort of different than the rest..

Feedly RSS News Reader

Feedly is a customized start page for Firefox where you can pull in all the data that you are interested in, and when you turn startup your browser, there `tis.

This addon allows you to easily integrate Twitter and Google Reader.

Search for more Firefox Addons @ the Official Firefox Addons site

There are about 20 more Twitter Addons in the Experimental section if you’re game :)

Some of them look quite cool! .. But that sounds like an idea for another post..:)

What’s your fave Twitter-related Firefox plugin?

Latest Twitter News from Around the World

27 November, 2008 - 15:00

Went on a Twitter News search today, these random twitter articles were all posted with the past few hours…

About the Facebook/Twitter No-Deal

Facebook has been in talks with Twitter, a private micro-blogging start-up (it allows you to easily update your contacts with messages or “tweets” of up to 140 characters). Negotiations put Twitter’s value at as much as $500 million. Whether or not this deal goes through, which is looking unlikely at this point, these talks speak volumes about both Twitter and Facebook. … read more

Social networking company Facebook recently held acquisition talks with Twitter, the micro-blogging company, the Financial Times said. The negotiations, put a valuation of as much as $500 million on Twitter, which has become one of Silicon Valley’s most closely watched start-ups, the paper said. … read more

The fact that Facebook wants to acquire Twitter is not a surprise. Both are hot Web 2.0 companies that have seen meteoric increases in viewership. Facebook, started as a site for college students, has exploded since opening itself to a broader audience. Twitter, the miniblogging site, lets users report their current state of mind or location in 140 words or less. … read more

Twitter & Mumbai Attacks

If you’re wondering about the reach of Twitter (clocking in at over 3 million users now) consider the tragedy that’s happening right now in Mumbai. Apparently the police (and perhaps the attackers) are not only aware of Twitter — it’s also part of the problem. The Indian government is asking that the #mumbai hashtag be shut down…. read more

(NECN: Ted McEnroe) - While the news of the Mumbai attacks has been non-stop across the globe on tradition news network, the volume of the conversation through the microblogging site Twitter has been a deluge. The site has seen 50-100 messages per minute about Mumbai coming through, from Mumbai residents, those glued to the coverage on networks around the world, and those reaching out to locate family and friends who might have near the attacks. … read more

One good source: the #mumbai hashtag search on Twitter. Indian security forces (Police, NSG, RAF) are actually asking social media (individuals) to not report from the ground about operations in real time since they may compromise the situation (TV signal is currently blacked out as of 22h55)…Amazing times when the people get the news out faster and easier than the big news media…. (not always the best thing, but hey that’s true democracy.. ouch)  … read more

But given the horrific events in Mumbai since noon today, below are some related links (with the help of Poynter.org) on the situation. Clearly, an example of net neutrality accentuating our small world.
* Twitter: tweets originating from within 15 miles of Mumbai.
* NDTV.com is broadcasting live here
* Sajaforum.org (South Asian Journalists Association) is, as of this writing, holding live discussion webcasts on their site every 12 hours.
* Flickr: Vinu has uploaded photos from an attack scene.

Forget CNN, which so far has few details of the ongoing attacks in Mumbai, India that have left at least 80 dead (Update: they’re starting to catch up now). People are giving first hand reports of what they’re seeing directly on Twitter. Flickr is another important information resources - images are here. …read more

Twitter Sites, Software, and Tools

Video-sharing site Ffwd now has links into Twitter. When you share a video on the site, or even just watch one, the service can optionally blast your activity to your Twitter followers. There’s also a new bookmarklet that makes it easy to share any video link on Twitter without actually going to the Ffwd site itself. … read more

The one I’ve been testing out for the last few days is Mr. Tweet. The way it works is that you follow Mr. Tweet’s company Twitter account (@MrTweet), and it sends a link to a personalized report that it has generated for you. The report shows you meta-data about other users, like how often they post Twitter messages (called “tweets”), how likely they are to follow people who follow them, and more. In one part of the site, you can see rankings showing who “influential” Twitters are, partially based on whether they’re tweeting about the same topics as you, and also if they have a lot of followers. … read more

I have been long looking for a solution to insert html signatures into my Gmail that could enable me to add images as well, So finally Folks at Wisestamp have worked out to help people put html signatures to Gmail with a firefox extension , It also supports Yahoo and Hotmail. Some of its features are that you can personalize your signature by adding your Pic or your logo, You can easily link to your social networks profiles like twitter, LinkedIn and Flickr etc … read more

Twitter & SMS fees

Just this week, I was applauding Twitter for rejecting an offer from Facebook. One reason I noted was that Twitter’s SMS text feature makes alerts from twittering (tweeting?) news outlets such as ZDNet even more valuable. Now, that feature seems headed for the history books as wireless carriers impose fee hikes on sites like Twitter that send outbound SMS messages… read more

Twitter on ThanksGiving & Christmas

Twitter -
1.When you forward articles you found on Twitter, tell them that.
2.Tell them how your Twitter contacts answered a question you had.
3.Have them look over your shoulder when you use Twitter, to see the type of conversations you have. They’ll be shocked, it’s not all about people posting about brushing their teeth.
4.If you have enough followers, ask your followers to say hello to the friend who is interested in Twitter … read more

Tweetsgiving is run by a legitimate non-profit, so if you want to participate, simply tweet something your thankful for with the #tweetsgiving hash-tag, and donate in honor of that which you’re thankful. … read more

We’re looking for Twitterers to file instant shopping updates throughout [Black Friday], and we’ll post them on Syracuse.com. The tweets can be found at www.syracuse.com/twitter. Tell us where the bargains are found, who’s out of stock, who has stock, how long the lines are, even what you have for lunch. … read more

Twitter Chatter

Pro:

Our resident student blogger, Zack Whittaker, asked a question this morning that caught my eye: “Twitter: is there any point?” My answer, as a growing devotee of Twitter and other bits of social media is, “Of course there’s a point!” Even for Ed Tech, I maintain that Twitter, and Twitter-like services, can have a lot of value. Imagine during a lecture a Twitter feed from the class so that questions and clarifications can be posted in real time? … read more

Con:

Also, I refuse to get a Twitter. I get that it’s there for people to log those weird little stray thoughts that “twitter” through your brain, but… you really don’t want to know what kind of randomness I think. Also, Some people use it as a play-by-play of their daily lives, and I’m not narcissistic enough to think people want to hear about that. … read more

Please comment if you found this useful and I’ll do them more often.

If you find this article useful, please share your thoughts & suggestions -  I’ve never posted this type of article before and I want to know whether it’s something worth doing every now and then? I love keeping up with Twitter news and what people’s thoughts are out there, but not sure if it’s worth posting the snippets of news feeds here or not. Would it be better if there were screenshots of the website thumbnails? Prefer to have just certain twitter topics? etc, happy to hear your feedback :)

21 November, 2008 - 02:49

Twitpay.me allows you to send cash to your twitter friends.

To send them money, you just send a tweet in twitpay-speak

eg: @happyches twitpay $1 for great service

Or from their website:

  • You can send a payment in any increment between $0.01 and $50.00.
  • It’s a “promise” of cash.
  • Twitpay monitors Twitters’ public timeline for these messages, and tracks who owes who cash.
  • Once you’ve promised the moola, you can fund your Twitpay account via Paypal and they will process it for you.
  • The receiver can check to see if someone has paid them by going to: http://twitpay.me/theirtwittername.

TwitPay intends to earn their money from small fees attached to the transactions.

  • Twitpay charges 3% + $0.30 in a cash out fee to recover charges from PayPal™ when you fund your account.

Tweetag: Browse Twitter by Tags

21 November, 2008 - 01:24

New site Tweetag allows you to browse through Twitters public tweets by keyword/tags.

Their homepage shows the top 40 topics that people are chatting about, and like a normal tag-cloud, the size of each tag is relative.

By selecting certain tags, you can also define the scope of your search and discover new topics related to them.
You can add tags to the selection by clicking on them. A click on a tag in the "selected tags" bar removes it from the selection.

You can access the tags by typing it in the searchbox, or by appending it to their url:

Eg.

TweetWorks - The Twitter Forum - Join Twitter Groups

17 November, 2008 - 20:56

My new addiction.. Tweetworks.. kind of like a "forum" for tweets ..

  • You login with your Twitter details.. it automatically grabs your current Twitter avatar..
  • You join "groups" of interests you have.. and tweet away..
  • You can tweet privately to the group or publicly to your timeline

It’s a fantastic way of keeping up with conversation - even tweets that are days old that are of your interest.

I think it’s the best thing to ever come out of Twitter so far lol, and can see great potential in this sites or upcoming sites that copy it.

  • You can create your own groups and even have private groups.
  • Great way to find people to follow of the same interests

If I have one critism about it so far, it’s that browsing for groups is done in a "next, next, next by alphabet" navigation.. there should be an quicker way to search for groups as we are all being "time-killed" right now which is another reason we love to tweet :)

Join today by signing in with your twitter username and password at http://tweetworks.com

Here are the groups I’ve joined so far:

Auto-Track Twitter Keywords with TweetLater

17 November, 2008 - 20:37

Tweet Later has a new feature..

Twitter used to have an option to get an instant message or SMS when someone tweeted about a keyword you cared about.. they missed that feature so much that they have now built it into the TweetLater site.

  • Monitor your Twitter stream for keyphrases
  • Receive an email with the tweets that contain that keyword
  • Monitor your company, your name, your blog, celebrities, disasters, topics of your choosing.

As per my earlier posts about TweetLater, this site also provides the option to:

  • Automatically follow anyone that follows you
  • Send them a greeting via a Direct Message or @reply
  • Automatically schedule future tweets

Visit TweetLater.com for more details

Newest Wordpress Plugins for Twitter

18 October, 2008 - 23:15
Twitter Feed

Posts your blog updates to your twitter account. Login to twitterfeed using your OpenID, provide the URL for your blog RSS feed, and how often to post to Twitter. (You can use TwitterFeed to post your YouTube updates to Twitter too).

Twitt-Twoo

Allows you to update your Twitter status right from your blog’s sidebar. Powered by Ajax.

RSS to Twitter

PHP script to feed RSS to Twitter.

Plurk Updater

Plurk Updater sends a Plurk to your account anytime you create, publish, or edit a post on your WordPress blog. You can pick and choose when Plurks are sent and what text is passed along with it.

Twitter Widget Pro

Displays your twitter feeds on your blog, including @username and link parsing, feeds that include friends or just one user, and can even display profile images for the users.

Twitter Statuses Badge

A modified version of the Official Twitter badges (not a wordpress plugin, you can use this on any of your normal sites too).

* The twitterer’s icon, links to their twitter page.
* One or more of the twitterer’s recent tweets.
* Tweet date-stamp that links to that tweet’s permalink.
* More CSS hooks for more advanced styling, including: ‘first’, ‘last’, ‘even’, and ‘odd’ classes on the list item tags.

TwitterCard

A TwitterCard is a compact twitter widget that acts as your Twitter business card on your website.
Your TwitterCard introduces you by showing your recent status, your picture and your bio.

Tweet This

A plugin that adds a Twitter icon to every post and page, so your readers can share your blog entries on their Twitter accounts with ease. Shortens URLs in advance. Tested in WordPress 2.6.2, 2.0.11, and 1.5.

Social Homes

Adds a sidebar widget containing a subtle list of all your social homes as linked favicons.

Current services include:
BlogCatalog, Blogger, BUMPzee, Dailymotion, Delicious, Digg, Facebook, Flickr, FriendFeed, Jaiku, Last.fm, LinkedIn, LiveJournal, Ma.gnolia, MyBlogLog, MySpace, Pownce, reddit, StumbleUpon, Technorati, Twitter, Utterz, Vimeo, VIRB°, XING, YouTube, Zooomr

TwitMe

This plugin allows you to automatically post your new posts on the twitter website. This is good because for example the ipod and iphone for example have a large amount of twitter clients to pick from. Your blog posts will arrive to people while they are walking the streets.

LifeStream

Lifestream displays your social feeds and photos much like you would see it on many of the social networking sites.

WP Twitter Pitch

WP-TwitterPitch is all about getting the pitch delivered to you in the form you want to get it delivered - in other words in Twitter format.

This plugin provides a template tag that you can drop anywhere in your theme. Clicking the link provides lightbox-like functionality for a "pitch form". Using the form does not require a Twitter account (but does require that you have a secondary Twitter account you can use for this purpose, since you can’t send Direct Messages to yourself via Twitter). Note: Your WP-TwitterPitch Twitter account must follow the account that is being pitched and vica versa. This is a one-off action (hopefully, depending on Twitter) and only needs to be done when setting up WP-TwitterPitch. Messages sent from the form are DMmed to the account getting the pitch and the form is limited to 140 characters or less.

Plurkolate

Gets your Plurks and puts them in a readable format on your blog. It uses the says/is/thinks… tags you know and love.

Tweet You

Uses the power of jQuery to twitter to your website in a widget. Just set install, add the widget, set your username and you are on your way!

Hey Social

Hey Social is a way to interact with the visitors of your blog, so that they can submit your posts and pages to the most famous Social services, such as Digg, Twitter, De.licio.us and so on. This plugin makes heavy use of JavaScript effects to impress visitors with the latest technique of Web 2.0.

WP Greet Box

This plugin lets you show a different greeting message to your new visitors depending on their referrer url. For example, when a Digg user clicks through from Digg, they will see a message reminding them to digg your post if they like it. Another example, when a visitor clicks through from Twitter, they will see a message suggesting them to twit the post and follow you on Twitter. You can also set a default greeting message for new visitors (not matching any referrer URLs) suggesting them to subscribe to your RSS feed. Having these targeted suggestions will help your blog increase exposure and loyal readership. Best of all, this plugin is compatible with various WordPress cache plugins so you do not have to sacrifice speed.

Currently the following referrers are installed by default, but you can easily create your own if your favorite referrer is not on the list!

* del.icio.us
* digg.com
* google.com
* yahoo.com
* stumbleupon.com
* technorati.com
* twitter.com

iBegin Share

iBegin Share is an easy to use tool that allows you to make it easy to share and spread your content across the web. Features built-in support for email, the social web & bookmarks, Word Document, PDF, and printing.

Socio Fluid

SocioFluid adds to your wordpress posts the buttons to the major bookmarking sites. Not this version, but the next version will have Twitter in it - if enough people "Vote" for it.

Kish Twitter

This plugin is using the Twitter API to get and post the updates.

1. You can update your twitter status from your blog
2. You can view and display public updates on your blog
3. You can view and display your followers updates on your blog
4. You can view and display your followers on your blog and increase your followers
5. Widget Ready, just need to enable to use
7. Display anywhere on your blog

Tweet Rooster

Twitter Friends

Cool Widget that allows you to give love to the people that follow you on Twitter. You can choose different display styles of either picture only or picture, username, and most recent tweet. Due to Twitter limit on API hits, I cache the friend list and only hit Twitter every 5 minutes to avoid getting "Over the limit errors"

TwitterCounter

Integrate TwitterCounter.com badges on your blog to display the number of followers you have on Twitter

SocialBoaster

Here’s a fun little script that’ll aggregate your Digg, Twitter and Del.icio.us activity and post it to your Wordpress blog. It uses the Wordpress cron system and can be configured to search for updates by the hour or on a daily basis. SocialBoaster works by grabbing the contents of your Twitter Tweets, and Digg/Del.icio.us bookmarks and creating posts for them on your blog. SocialBoaster is designed to be unobstrusive.

Bringing Twitter into Second Life

18 October, 2008 - 10:41

Is your website visible in the virtual world?

Second Life is an extremely popular "virtual world" and companies are already getting involved - promoting, marketing, researching, etc.

This video shows what Daden Limited has done to create a twitter feed inside of Second Life.

In the video, they mention that they can bring any data feed inside of Second Life, not just Twitter and that the "twitter fountain" currently only works with the public Twitter Feed (wondering if they know that each user already has a feed - maybe it already works? or maybe it’s something specific to the fountain).

Anyway, I haven’t been on Second Life yet, so I’m not the one to ask, but I’ll be certainly keeping my interest to see where this is going and how it could benefit my businesses.

(I lost "3 years" to Quake I/TeamFortress when I was younger, so I tend to stay away from addictive games/worlds, etc and instead am completely and hopelessly addicted to social networking & my blogs/sites).

If you’re a Second Life member, you can see the fountain on the Daden Prime sim at 202/101/24.

You can see more videos they have created for Second Life on their YouTube channel.

Bringing Twitter into Second Life

18 October, 2008 - 01:46

This shows our Twitter Fountain in Second Life. Every minute it reads the Twitter public feed and displays each post as a bubble rising up into the air.

You can see the fountain on the Daden Prime sim at 202/101/24 in Second Life.

No Twitter for Hitler (Funny Video)

15 October, 2008 - 18:36

Hitler gets mad because Twitter is down again

hehe, I wasn’t going to publish this, but after watching it and finding myself laughing and clapping like an idiot, I thought it was too well-done not to share :)
